Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse
On March 26, 2024, the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Maryland collapsed after a container ship struck one of its piers, resulting in the rescue of two individuals from the river, one in critical condition, and six maintenance crew members missing, with three bodies recovered and three presumed dead.
